I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone, its not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people that make you feel all alone

Relationships

Healthy relationships are such a key aspect of life. Humans are meant for connection and studies show that healthy relationships boost our mental health in so many ways. Researchers believe that people spend 80% of their time in the presence of others, making it important to maintain positive and healthy relationships.

Although relationships are so important I understand how hard it can be at times to create, maintain, and change relationship dynamics for the better. I love working with clients looking to improve their quality of relationships whether that be with their romantic partners, family, friends, co- workers, and other social connections. I have spent a majority of my professional life studying healthy relationships and how to support others in the process. Through my own experiences and evidence- based techniques, we can navigate a number of ways to improve your relationships with a deeper understanding of what you need and how to build your connection to others in a healthy way.

Dating

The modern dating world can be exciting, confusing, and tiring among other emotions. I know first- hand what it is like to navigate the modern dating world and made many mistakes along the way. Through these mistakes, self- reflection, trainings, studies, and my own success at finding my person through online dating, I am here to walk alongside you and help you navigate what you need and how to get there. I’m sure at this point you have experienced or heard of success stories in the modern dating world and my goal as your therapist is to help you become one. Whether you are in a relationship, just starting out with someone new, actively dating, or single, there is a healthy way to date that involves the right mindset, tools, and openness.

How I work

I take a anti oppressive, non- judgemental, client focused approach to therapy. With relationship work, I pull from attachment theory, evidence based healthy communication and boundary teachings, acceptance and commitment therapy, compassion focused therapy, Gottman method, and cognitive behavioural therapy. These therapies are evidence-based and have been shown to be effective in improving relationships. I tend to use a combination of these approaches and tailor my approach to individualized needs of the client
